Credit Suisse and CERAWeek in a strategic partner for this year's CERAWeek

Petroleumworld.com 02 22 2017

Credit Suisse today announced that the bank is a strategic partner for this year's CERAWeek by IHS Markit, the premier annual global gathering of energy industry leaders. The conference takes place in Houston, Texas, from March 6 -10 and will provide a platform for dialogue and insight into the energy future.

Credit Suisse is pleased to announce its strategic partnership with CERAWeek 2017. As a leader in oil and gas investment banking, Credit Suisse advises leading global companies in their strategic and capital decision-making processes. The bank has been at the forefront of industry-shaping strategic M&A and a leading underwriter of innovative equity and debt financing solutions in the sector.

Osmar Abib, Global Co-Head of Oil and Gas Investment Banking, said: “We have seen a period of very challenging markets since the beginning of 2015 and the energy industry has undergone a tremendous transformation. Leading companies throughout the entire supply chain, especially in the US, have successfully adapted their business models and optimized their capital and cost structures. CERAWeek provides a unique forum for executives of global energy companies to discuss some of the industry's most pressing issues and future opportunities. We are excited to partner with CERAWeek this year.”

Senior partners of Credit Suisse's Oil and Gas franchise will participate in various panel discussions, including investing in energy and the recapitalization of the upstream sector. If you wish to schedule a meeting with one of Credit Suisse's representatives at CERAWeek, please contact Thomas Baer.
