Chevron forms JV with Gazprom's oil unit

U.S. oil major Chevron has formed a joint venture with Russia's Gazprom Neft , the oil arm of gas monopoly Gazprom, Gazprom Neft said in a regulatory filing on Wednesday.

The filing said Gazprom Neft would have 30 percent of the venture, which would be registered in Noyabrsk in the oil-rich Yamalo-Nenets region. It gave no details of the venture.
