LUKOIL sent a request for taking part in two projects for developing
oil fields in Colombia, announced by Colombian public company Ecopetrol,
reports Bloomberg agency.
The first project
proposes developing oil fields in Meta province and is valued USD 1.6
bn. The competition winner will obtain the right to hold geological
prospecting and oil production in the field. Oil reserves are estimated
at 3 bn barrels.
Other participants
are - Petroleo Brasileiro, Total, Repsol, China Petroleum & Chemical
Corp., Exxon Mobil, BP, Chevron.
LUKOIL also sent
a request for taking part in a tender for Tibu field exploitation. The
project is valued USD 200 mn. The other participants are Vintage Petroleumc,
Petrobras, Burlington Resources.
