Bab al-Mandeb attack a fake ?

Are the tankers really attacked, or is it all a fake, or a war ruse?

Saudi Arabia stopped shipping its' crude via Bab al-Mandeb Strait, “after two large oil tankers were attacked by Iranian backed Houthi fighters with one sustaining minimal damage”, starting Jul 26. If Saudis hoped that it would sky-rocket oil prices, they've been wrong, at least as of Jul 28.

BaM closure is the talk of the day, though nobody tried to look into the story deep enough to find out, if the “attack” really took place. Everybody is busy with analyzing market consequences, and by default, Saudi “attack” news come as an axiom.

Nothing and nobody can be trusted in the Middle East, and there aren't many people around, including Middle East people, who understand what's going on there, who's fighting whom, and for what purposes. I for one, don't see, why should I trust Saudi Arabia more, than those presumably evil Houthis.

But there is one thing called logic, one simple thing which is working even in Middle East. If applying logic, Houthis alleged attempts to disrupt international shipping in or near Yemeni waters, don't make any sense. Well, there is a sense, if we assume, that Houthis aren't fighting for whatever they're fighting with Saudi-led Coalition, that instead, they're undercover Saudi allies. Attacks on ships and disruption of international shipping, especially oil shipping, will inevitably, fill Saudi coffers with more oil gold, thanks to oil price hike, and finally, lead to wiping Houthis out by joint efforts of all international community. Nobody can mess with cargo flows passing through Suez, and go unpunished.

Can anyone explain and prove using logic, what is it exactly Houthis are gaining, by attacking ships in BaM Strait and Red sea? How does it harm Saudi Arabia? I believe, nobody can explain it, as long as there's any common judgment left in this miserable world.
Let's recall very strange, to say the least, missile attack of a Turkish bulk carrier on May 12 this year:

Let's recall other strange stories and mysterious attacks, allegedly carried out by Houthi militants.

These attacks, including and specifically, latest (with absolutely no details given as to attacked tankers, time, date and circumstances), are profiting Saudi Arabia, in all respects, including monetary profits.

So one can't but wonder – were these mysterious tankers really attacked, or is it all a fake, or a war ruse?
